Why a Ron Paul supporter should vote for Titus
While I don't claim to be a carbon copy of Dr. Paul, I share with him a commitment to the rule of law based on our Constitution and a non-interventionist foreign policy based on the Golden Rule. Like Dr. Paul, I want to restore habeas corpus and stop government intrusions into our privacy. Like Dr. Paul, I want to repeal the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act of 2007 that make it possible for the government to declare martial law. Like Dr. Paul, I want to bring our troops home not only from Iraq but from Japan and South Korean and elsewhere.
Furthermore, I agree with Dr. Paul that the Federal Reserve Board is to blame for our current financial crisis, and share his opposition to the plan put forward by Treasury Secretary Paulson to give the Fed even greater regulatory powers over the financial system. To me, this would be like catching an arsonist and promoting him to fire marshal.
I want the United States to withdraw from NAFTA and the WTO and NATO. I want to abolish the Federal reserve and adopt sound money.
I completely support the four key principles in the agreement that Ron Paul signed with third-party candidates Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, Bob Barr, and Chuck Baldwin.
If elected I will vote for Ron Paul for Speaker of the House. Of all members of the House of Representatives, Dr. Paul shows the greatest independence from the two major parties.
These areas of our agreement are on the issues that are most vital to our country and led me to support his candidacy during the Pennsylvania primaries, even though as a Green I was unable to vote in the primaries.
